In April of 2013 after finding out that our conventional mortgage would not qualify us of any of the government HARP programs because we were current, we were looking for a refinance option when were we approached by Aaron Cox with Clear Vision Financial, he claimed his company worked with lenders to get their customers into different programs that would lower their monthly payments and get them back on the road to financial recovery. We researched the company as thoroughly as we could, and not finding any complaints at the time decided to go ahead and pay them for their service. We sent them a total of 2985.00 over three payments and began to wait. As time rolled on we began getting calls from our mortgage companies and were told by Mr. Cox that they would stop shortly as soon as the paperwork was filed and that they were just waiting for a little more information. after a few MONTHS i found the complaints here on Scambook, and became very worried. We have told them we want a refund of our money and have filed a complaint with HUD and are now working on getting back on track with our mortgage company. I would caution any person who deals with a third party company, it's illegal to charge for loan modifications before providing the service, and it's illegal to claim you are getting a government grant as Clearvision Financial did to us. I am hoping to re-coup even a small portion of our money but I am not holding my breath.
