My spouse Gina called to inquiry on RV rentals on 06/11/2013. He ( paul the owner ) quoted price to her and to hold the RV he requested my credit card number ( I am Jeffrey Darden )My wife gave him my credit card number and He said he would not charge the full amount but needed the card to hold the RV. He requested other ID information of me. He needed to email documents for me to sign pertaining to the RV rental, the credit card authorization form, and other documents. He assured he would not process the fee until received and also said that he could not charge a full fee anyhow without delivering any possession to me.
I never reviewed or signed any documents and through personal circumstances, I needed to cancel the RV hold, so I called him back today on 06/19/2013 and he said he processed the whole payment and was taking 800 for a cancel fee! The total RV rental was $1997.81.
* I never agreed to pay the full amount up front
* I never gave him written authorization to charge credit card
* I never signed any documents accepting any terms of his contracts
* If a company is going to charge a 50% cancellation fee when given 2 weeks full notice to cancel, that is terrible business. 2 weeks notice up front to cancel an RV reservation hold, not 2 hours or 2 days -

- http://www.rvrentalarizona.net/page/terms.aspx Clearly lists the agencies policy on cancellations. The person making the reservation was aware of this. The person filing this complain here is not the same person that made the reservation. The statements made herein by Mr Darden are False and do not accurately depict what transpired. Mr Darden never spoke to the rental agency during the reservation process. When Mr Darden cancelled his rental , he was informed of cancellation fees and the possibility to reschedule the rental in lieu of cancellation. What he doesn't disclose herein is that he planned to split the cost of his rental with a friend who pulled out on him. We are an accredited business with the Southern Arizona Better Business Bureau. Our policies are clearly stated on our website and disclosed to consumers prior to them making a reservation. Mr. Darden is using Scambook in an attempt to slander a reputable business. He files here stating the amount of damage to him is $1,997.81 when in fact he was only charged $800 in accordance with our terms. After filing complaint with his credit card company and also the BBB, both entities found that the rental agency rightfully charged him $800 in cancellation fees. Again - my Darden is attempting to use Scambook in a manner to wrongfully slander the rental agency. Paul's Southeast Arizona RV Rentals has been in business since 2002 and has served thousands of satisfied clients .
