I'm selling a car on craiglist. A person named Michael Baxter with phone #724-906-3506 text me saying that he's interested of the car he wants to buy it as a gift to his dad. He wants to use PayPal to make his payment because he cant get to me the cash since he's out state and it's safe.I have a paypal account and I trust PayPal so for me it's okay. I received an email from servicepaypal.com saying that Michael Baxter made a payment for the car and ready to be credited to my paypal account. But in order for that money to be credited to my account I needed to send $800 to the shipping agent named Tammy Gill with the address above thru western Union as soon as they receive the money my acount will be credited. Since I trusted paypal and the email was coming from paypal, and paypal was assuring that the payment made by Michael Baxter for the car cannot be reversed and they also guaranteing that any loss of this transaction that paypal would be responsible. So I sent the $800 agent fee out of my pocket. I received an email from servicepaypal.com stating that as soon as the $800 is verified my account will be credited within the next 12 hrs. 6 hours past I received a text from Michael Baxter phone #724-906-3506 saying that the shipping agent need more money for the insurance they need $1000.That's when I called PayPal cutomer service and found out it's a scam they told me the they(PayPal) would not do any transaction like that asking client to send money in order to received money. It's scammers using their payPal name, logo and everything.
