I have a problem with the USPS service.

I live at: (Personal Information Removed)

my home #: (Personal Information Removed)
my cell #: (Personal Information Removed)
my email address: (Personal Information Removed)

the package (empty) delivered to: Chantelle R. Piatt
(Personal Information Removed)

the box was destroyed by the time it was received at zip code 23501.
No items were in it at that time. It was resealed and shipped to me (Chantelle)
for delivery, which came to me (Chantelle) as an empty box.

the zip code "23501" is not listed in the tracking information, but my
daughter received notice from them from her local post office. The package
never was delivered to her home address. This is the USPS fault.

all your help is greatly appreciated. I knew that I should have this box
delivered to Langley AF Base. My daughter is a Sgt in the U.S. Air Force.
Thank you
Carolanne

I sent my daughter this message to confirm the box that she received:

"Chantelle
Here is a list of items that were packed in the box.
I was informed by the Thomaston Postmaster to bring this list along with
the box so that they can see that the box was open before you picked up the
box on Sept 6, 2011
Love
Mom"

the tracking # 0310 2010 0002 1997 2070

Here is a list of items that were in the box:

These 2 crosses were blessed by my priest just for my grandchildren.
2 gold boxes with Eastern Russian Orthodox crosses each box has a note written on each with a black marker on
them stating -

Amelia, this is from your Great Grandpa Paul and Great Grandma Julie. They
will be watching over you and love you. Love Meme

Allen, this is from your Great Grandpa Paul and Great Grandma Julie. They
will be watching over you and love you. Love Meme

Every item listed below was sewn just for my daughter's family a lot of time
was put into these items:

3 children aprons – stitched with their names Amelia, Allen, Gabe – Holly
Hobbie, and construction vehicles
2 carry along bags – stitched with Allen and Gabe
4 sets of summer outfits – girls
1 girl sold and print dress
4 place matts, Blender, toaster covers cream with navy stars with navy trim
2 dry wipe board for children to learn how to write
1 package of wipe marker (3)
6 Shower wraps with the following letters on them: CP, AP, BP, MP, GP, AP –

I spoke with Kody he will track the package and find out as to what has
happened the the items. this person is from Mail Recovery Center, Atlanta, GA 30378
Case # CA106201764, CA20955336, CA106269023, CA106857734

I gave him both phone numbers home and cell phone
He stated that a rep will call within 2 days as to where the items are.
He never called back.

the note that my daughter received when she pick the package the zip code was 23501 had the package from:

Aug. 29, 7:11 a.m. to Aug. 30, left 1:15 p.m. this is where the box was re-sealed

Since then I have been given (2) more case #'s - 20955336 & 106269023
I have done every step to have these items found and forwarded on to my daughter Sgt. Chantelle R. Piatt

I was not notified as to what had happened to either my daughter or myself before the final exchange at my daughter’s local post office. Today I received a call stating basically that they will not look for these items. All because I didn’t have insurance on the box. The aid of the postal service is very bad. The response time is very bad. No one knows what to do. Can you help me? Your voice would be greatly appreciated.

I always go out of my town because my local post office lost a $200.00 check about 10 years ago. I always pay my bills on line and send letters and packages from Thomaston or Waterbury.

Just this past week I received a call from Consumer Affairs(rep) Diane (413-431-0226) said that because I didn't have any insurance "forget it". My feeling is that this package never left USPS hands that they are responsible for the lost. The box that I sent the items in was cut open on the bottom and resealed and forwarded to my daughter.

thank you so much your voice would greatly appreciated
