Very formal recorded phone message stating they were being subcontracted by Century Link to soclicate low usage long distance users a lower rate to maintain their services. Big spill about how they can save low usage customers 30% on their bill by allowing their service to be their long distance carrier. Knew my acct number, name, address, and current carrier. Recorded calls and verification by another person. I called Century link when I was done talking to them and they have never heard of Billing Services of America and Capital Verification Services. The number they gave me was 1-877-773-2888. Said they were out of Minnesota. When I called that number I got customer services and they would not identify themselves.
I called Century Link and asked them to put a third party block on my phone and hopefully that will resolve the issue. What a nightmare.
