On April 13, I got a phone call about an online business and that I would qualify for an educational program to make money online. I was persuaded to sign a contract and pay $6595.00 for software systems with coaches that would call weekly at my convenient day and time for a year. I signed a contract online on 4-13-11 and decided the very next day to cancel. The cancellation process was in bold capital letters stating that I may cancel this contract at any time prior to midnight of the third business day after the date of the transaction or receipt of the product whichever is later. A written cancelllation notice must by sent certified mail, postmarked within 3 business days. I sent this letter on April 14 and have the receipt in my possession. On 4-28-11 I receive a phone call from Peter in the corporate office stating that I am getting a court order to appear in Utah for arbitration, all travel expenses to and from Utah, court, and lawyer fees will be my responsibility. If I don't appear in court, all court fees including the purchase of the contract will be my responsibility. He siad that the cancellation policy did not apply and that I should have read Exhibit E on the contract. Ofcourse Exhibit E made no sense to me, I felt I had no choice but to sign another contract of a lesser amount and avoid all court orders to Utah. Peter assured me that I would be refunded $1346 on my next bank statement. Since then, I have had miss calls from my coaches, I prabably have had 3 or 4 coaching sessions when I should have had coaching weekly. The last I heard from them was by email around 9-22-11. Today, they have not bothered to call. My credit card was never credited, I have sent numerous emails, phone messages, and a letter sent to the Corporate office addressed to Cassie who issued the new contract. Recently, on 10-4-11, I spoke to Patty who answered my call at the Corporate office, she told me that a certified cancellation letter was enough to cancel this transaction and she seemed surprise to hear of any court orders to Utah. She was going to do some investigating, but I have not heard from her since. Is there a possibility that my first contract that was cancelled would be sufficient enough to get me a full refund?
