This company manages the house I am leasing and, as a result of their illegal and retaliatory actions claiming they could terminate the lease due to a heater not functioning properly, they threatened to evict me and my daughter. I incurred legal fees and they backed down and promised to fix the numerous issues with the house I'd documented including: a broken toilet, the heater which is under full warranty, water leak, and send a mold inspector because mold was found due to a long term leak that had not been previously disclosed. They did not fix anything except the toilet (after more than 3 weeks) and said they would not allow me to fix and deduct cost from the rent. Their agent bullies, threatens, is unprofessional and discourteous and refuses to make other repairs which have come up (broken light switch, septic tank follow up recommended by their plumber). He states in writing that he's called or sent vendors that never appear and state they never heard from him and dismisses my emails asking when the repairs will be made. This agent has violated CA law and tenant's rights and has total disregard for our lease agreement. I have given the owners of the house all the correspondance as per the lease agreement I need to make complaints to them as well, but still this treatment continues. I do not know how this company gets away with such unprofessional "slum lord" conduct and there are numerous complaints online from owners and renters stating this is their m.o. I pay top dollar rent and have never experienced this from a landlord or management company.
