I have been trying to find out how much pell grant was taken out for me at miller motte. I started in December 2009 until October 2010. I was told I would graduate at a certain date and time and I ended up going to this school for more than 2 years .....I was told that I had grades high enough to receive a key in honors..never got it and I have witnesses that saw me running from one office to the next looking for a key that would never appear. I was told that there would be a job for me when I graduated..this never happened for the white students but the black students have jobs..good jobs. I decided to apply to Fayetteville state and there will be a job for me when I leave there. I have yet to receive any fin aid counseling on what I owe. I don't know how much pell grant came in vs. what was disbursed. I was told that we were accredited. my loans are going to Virginia and I go to school in north Carolina. when I go into the student services to find out if there are jobs I could take part time I was told well you will have to come back and take the security guard class and they would employ me I did not take paralegal classes to become a security guard. michelle bethea was a counselor hired from applebees who was fired for theft and her class she taught was filled with her bringing her children to class and if we asked about why her kids were there she got nasty and rude. I was forced to buy a blue suit that I was told would be tailored to fit me. it was not! what it was made of was a size thirteen with ME having to do my own tailoring and I have never worn it. I was invited to graduate TWICE..why? I thought I was being inducted into the honors society I was not I was completely embarrassed!!! I felt like a complete idiot which makes th. it was not tailored a compais worse because they knew why I showed up. civitas company who has contract with the school came in and gave me a standard size that does not fit. this is ridiculous. my student files were NOT locked up and the financial aid counselor took my tax documents off campus..still do not know where they are I am being denied the right to know what I have borrowed, what came in for pell grants, what ws sent back because the first refund I received was for 1200 dollars and i did not receive that until july 20 of 2010..i started in December 2009.
