In searching for products, I was asked to take a brief survey (age, where I used my computer, etc) for which I would receive a "gift". I took the survey and four "gift" choices popped up - an electgronic device, this skincare set, and two others. I selected the skincare set with the advisement that I would be charged about $2 for shipping. I supplied a credit card # for the shipping and within a week received the skincare set.
Today I was advised by my credit card company of a $99 charge for "skincare". I called the number they gave me and talked with AURA VIE customer service. I asked that the charge be reversed and no products sent. They claim that somewhere in the boilerplate on the credit card charge screen there was notice that I was signing up for monthly shipments at $99. I did not knowlingly do this and feel this is a classic bait and switch scam. The company refused to return my charge, but did agree to return half. This "gift" thing is clearly a scam.
