I was contacted by Connie Edwards with Interstated Debt Management in regard to an inquiry that I placed on their website. I am a single mother of two and was looking for an opportunity to consolidate my debt and purchase a home for myself and my girls next year. I work 2 jobs to insure that my girls have what they need rather than relying on the state for assistance as I am able to work. She called, said I was approved for $5500.00 @ 8% and asked if I had a co-signor that made atleast $45K and had a FICO over 740 .. i said no so she said alternative is to send 3 months of payments which totaled $516.00 to a Kevin Parker (the Lender) as to Toronto, Ontario Canada and they would credit the fee of $38.00 that was charged by money gram. I sent the funds today and have not received the money. Connie Edwards has emailed me a contract that I had to sign and send back which I did with my bank account information, however stated that Kevin Parker is a private lender and they (Interstate Debt Management) transacts business on their behalf and therefore the money can not go directly to them as He is the true lender.

I told her that I was a single mother and was really nervous as I have never used western union or money gram before for things such as this and that what I get each check is all i have to make it to the next two weeks. I also told her that I was very scared bc I went to the bank and they said this could be a scam but they were not sure.

If there is someone in position of authority to investigate and stop things like this from happeneing please please do so. I am out of $516.00 will not have enough for food or gas for my car and my children at this point unless by the grace of God.
