I was in Honolulu, USA in February 2013 and whilst in my hotel watching an advert for skin products by Dr Andrew Ordon (which I was later advised by Dr Ordon's staff that it is not his product that he states on the advertisement) I ordered the product by calling the number provided for "Derm Exclusive". I didnot receive the product but instead I became a victim of fraud by which unauthorized fraudulent transactions began on my credit card. The matter was referred to my bank and will be referred to Australian Police.

Today (22 May 2013) I had called Dr Ordon's office and they confirmed that Dr Ordon is affiliated with the company "Derm Exclusive". They also advised that the product in the advertisement in which Dr Ordon himself states is his product is infact not his product - which is misleading the consumer. I was making this purchase based on Dr Ordon's comments in the advertisement which I am advised by his staff is not his product which he claims is in the advert.

I also called Derm Exclusbive requesting to speak to the CEO, Carl Daikeler. Unfortunately his staff would not put me through but referred me to their legal team. Interestingly, this organization has a legal team - is it because of other fraudulent activities by this company?!?!?!

I wish to warn all consumers regarding Derm Exclusive and also Dr Andrew Ordon who is affiliated with them.

  • Similar experience with different company. Cosmetic companies have very seductive ads on TV. DO NOT ORDER FROM TV, DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CRD NUMBER. They send you product at an inexpensive INTRODUCTORY PRICE, shipping and HANDLING can be expensive. They continue to send you products automatically each month at larger expense! I called the company to cancel after 2nd shipment. They sent a 3rd time. I REFUSED PACKAGE AT POST OFFICE AND IT WAS RETURNED TO COMPANY. I talked with credit card provider, had to send registered letter explaining what was going on, with all info re company. Credit card provider would not pay the company and the game was finished. Talking to the company sending product does not mean they will stop sending. If the product is good, it will eventually end up in a store. WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN.
