Today, May 13, I received my Visa statement with a surprise charge from SportAbsolute.com in the amount of $9.20. I have never conducted business with this company, nor was I even aware of their existence. A number was supplied on the statement; this company was contacted. A woman, with a pleasant demeanor, handled my complaint: she claimed that a correction will be made and provided a reference #. We will see if that happens. Nevertheless, I subsequently called the credit card company to file a dispute as an additional measure.
