Beware of this programmer. I hired him to remove malware from my server and agreed to $1,500.
I was desperate to find someone who knew what they were doing, Scott Adams absolutely trashed my server and then rebuilt the files incorrectly on a new server.
To top things off, he was supposed to do extra work on 2 Facebook accounts and had access to these accounts. I paid him in full for this work.
When I started talking with Media Temple, who was my server company at the time, they said that all the files were brought over to the new server incorrectly and the initial problem has been moved to the new server now. I refused to pay Scott any additional money for work as he was incompetent on every level.
He then proceeded to hack into my clients 2 Facebook accounts and post as if he were the clients, and making false statements.
I finally filed an internet crime report with the FBI.
Think hard before hiring this person. It all sounds good until you find out he doesn't know what he is doing.

I have 400+ working hours with you in 80 days (since March7th with the business crisis to now). 400 divided by 3000 is 7.5 hourly, as you can understand that is not enough to live on.
Wickland was noted to me at 250 you would offer, and you have 100 noted today on your end, I spent over 20 hours fixing that site, and if we calculate that out it's even lower that 7.5 hourly.
It might be time for you to find another programmer, I cannot spend time like this. You let me know, I will be going over all notes and work time to pull my end straight.....after I write up some work estimates today.

Cherie is obviously either delusional or a liar......I have a trove of these as well as voicemails which in her own voice and threads state 2 sides of the coin, she thinks she can say anything and belief follows.......

I must laugh at this one........
"I do hope you are doing well. I also didn't get a chance to tell you that I really appreciated the work that you did. Everything that was done, was quickly undone as all the sites were put together on the server, instead of individual subscriptions, and within 2 months all sites went back down, then that server became fried at the root level.
I lost 95% of my business and it has taken me almost a year to recover. I always hoped that we could continue working together. In an effort to perhaps help you, if you want, I will take care of the income I paid you. If you want to pay taxes on this, you can send me a W9. It may not be much, but my way of saying thank you and wishing you much prosperity.

I am digging for the thread which asks her if sites are to be bulk loaded like Hostgator was or individual accounts, she had no idea what it meant and to do it the way it was once........to explain the "put together on the server" comment......

- the "W9" was declined because i already do not trust her and she once had my SSN for 1099, which thankfully she has lost, who knows what she would pull on me having it

Unfortunately there are people on Craigslist that seem like they are the real deal. After hiring Scott Adams to help me, I learned well into the project that he was incompetent and had no idea how to do the job he was asked. He not only made the situation worse, but then racked up hours of work that I did not agree to, because he didn't know what he was doing.
Before I figured out this person had no clue, I had paid him money and the damage was done. I hired him to do 2 easy jobs on Facebook which required giving him admin access to my clients FB pages.
Scott Adams then proceeded to hack into their accounts and post as if they were the client speaking and ranting about me not paying him. Who the hell does that?
I filed an internet crime report with the FBI. Be very careful before you hire anyone like this from Craigslist.
Fortunately I learned my lesson.
