In February of 2013, this bank which handles the Account Now Prepaid Visa debit card had a charge on my account that was not mine. After notifying this bank that it was an error, it took them almost 2 weeks to remove the error on my account and correct it. However, they breached the contract agreement and proceeded to lock my account after they fixed the error with money still in the account. Numerous correspondence was ignored by this bank and I was forced to file an emergency grievance against them and advised them that they would be liable for a fee of $2.00 per day late fee until this was paid back to me. Since I could not use the card with my money still in the account I was forced to immediately secure another prepaid debit card from another bank so my social security payment could be sent to me by direct deposit. As of May 1, 2013 they still have not returned my money and now the balance is in excess of $175.00 and growing daily. They cannot be trusted to perform according to agreement and should be reported to the National Banking Association as a dishonest banking institution. I would advise anyone to stay away from Bancorp Bank as this is the main financial institution that administers Account Now prepaid debit cards. They have proven that they are not worth the trust that the public depends on to safeguard personal funds deposited in this bank.
