I recieved a phone call on my cell from a guy who calls himself Tyler. He was representing websitebusiness.com. He told me that if i signed up i would get my own website the i could blog on and make money from if i ordered their platinum package ($499.00). They said the regular price was $999.00 or some ridiculous price. I figured i could use some extra money being as im a college student and i thought having my own website would be a great experience. But with these guys i was wrong.

I was instructed that i would recieve 3 confirmation emails that would active my account with them and get me started with my domain "coach" of which i recieved none. This was 4 days ago when i gave them my money. I called their customer support numerous times and no answer. I called one of their personal numbers and he simply said he would send the emails again which never happened. So i lost a total of $508.98 to these souless people. I am scramming to get extra money now because i start college in August and i NEED my money back.

Websitebusiness.com IS A SCAM!

  • My contact with Website Business also started with a phone call, in answer to my own (naive) hunts for a job from home. I had several phone conversations with reps from Website Business, it sounded good so on 6/17/11 I signed on for $199 - the minimum start up fee, plus $9.95 monthly for my domain. I was told a Web Bus trainer would call me right away. It was a week before I got their call. All but one of the trainers were friendly, but since they were located in AZ the 3 hour difference was a frustration. Still, I dealt with it, and finally, late July, got my first assignment, wrote it per directed, submitted it, and have received several "rewrite" assignments, not because of any writing corrections, but because the format I submitted it in (which was per their instructions) did not come to them correctly. During the last 10 days I've tried to go on their suggested site to make more adjustments with my format but found they were revising their site - they promised it would be available in 2 days, then 2 days after that, then 2 days after. I hung on until today and saw complaints about Website Business. I'm SO discouraged, I'm on a very limited income, retired, living on Soc Sec with a tiny pension - my 401K was eaten alive by the stock downturn of the 1990's and I have physical disability preventing me from resuming my job as a health care worker. I am proficient in computer, typing, office work, is there any website that would help me get a job? I've tried mystery shopping and doing paid surveys - none of which paid (and they too may be scams).

  • They are all scams. I had WebsiteBusiness.com design my business blog and was fleeced for $3,508.00. The site looks nice, but it was way overpriced and it looks like the owners have definitely left town and left all of their customers hanging. No one can access their accounts to get to their dashboards, so you can't add new blog posts and make changes to your site. I will never again let any website design company talk me into anything. You should either build your own site using WordPress or Magellan (more expensive) or pay someone to build it for you. Stay away from these companies. I don't like the idea that any company can have access to your dashboard. You can never trust any of them and they could be siphoning profits from your Amazon.com store or your affiliate connections. The Internet creates crooks. And there are no type at home jobs that you could ever make a living from. You can make about a dollar a day from mturk.com doing simple tasks. But don't believe those stories that Denise Richards (or whatever name they use in the ad) makes $6,000 a month doing simple data entry for major companies at home. There is no such business and if you Google it, you can rad the scam reports. You may be able to make some money from Ezine Articles or Clickbank.

Dick Bloom on complaintsboard.com urged anyone who feels they were taken by WebsiteBusiness.com to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. The more people who file complaints to the FTC, the more apt they are to take action on it.
