I am unsure if you can do anything about this but if you can help me I would greatly appreciate it.
I called LIZ WEB SOLUTIONS because of an email issue on AOL. The phone number popped up on a search for help with AOL email problems.

Liz Web Solutions leads you to believe that they are affilitated with AOL technicians. They list their phone number as offering solutions to AOL email issues. I asked and was convinced they were AOL afiliated technicians. Then they proceed to get your information on your account and show the issues affecting your computer. You are led to believe it is a trojan that is securing all your information from your computer. This person must have told me 5-10 times that my computer was hacked and someone somewhere was securing all my private information and account numbers and using my email address. They can fix the issue but first I had to verify a payment to their company on my credit card. He also told me that it could affect our second computer too so we purchassed life long support for 2 computers for $799.00. After doing that for them a technician (MIKE, I believe) took over the computer and cleaned the first computer.

BUT when the issue with AOL email is NOT corrected, then he gave me a legitimate AOL phone number to get a new password. At that point the worries set in that you were scammed as the correct AOL rep tells you do not qualify for AOL tech help because your AOL account is free. I immediately told the tech from Liz Web Solutions that I was suspicious of this transaction. Of course...denial, denial! I had my second computer disconnected from the internet so that nothing else could be done to it. I called back the credit card company to cancel order immediately telling them I thought I was scammed (early AM 4/12/13), I was told I cannot cancel the order because I already approved it. Of course I would have to get an approval number from the company that solitcited the service to cancel this order.

I contacted the company on 4/15/2013 AM to cancel and was told I could not because they had already cleaned up my computer. I had deleted/trashed/removed everything they put on my computer already. There website offers 72 hours cancellation. Finally after arguing heatedly with the manager (possible name Justin)he approved half credit to me. This approval number is NOT forthcoming, of couse. So as a consumer you are caught in a Catch 22 because you know you were scammed BUT can do nothing about it to stop the payment because they had you preapprove it and the credit card company will not accept it as a scam.

Can you do anything to help?
