Company apparently sent emails spoofing family members as senders, recommending a website where a diet product advocated by Dr. OZ, with accompanying video presentation was for sale. The purchase price for 4 bottles was $159. Turns out Amazon.Com among others offers the same product for $5 a bottle. Customer reviews of the product are not favorable. The word SCAM appears often.
All family members have indicated that they did not send the emails. Our credit card was charged immediately; the shipment took almost 2 weeks. Long enough for the charge to clear from recent credit card history.
Product is Garcinia CAmbogia 1300 and seller was listed as GETFIT in Newbury Park CA.
have received other emails for other websites from spoofed return addresses. I ignore them, but wife did not.
