Beach, SC 29588. Anita Terry posted an ad on Craigslist to rent a room. She was interested in mine. I received a check issued by TrustBank, Olney, IL in the amount of $3550.75 for first month rent and to assist Anita with paying for shipment of her belongings. I was to send Elton Knotts $2500.00 in two payments of $1250 by Money Transfer only. Anita refused to give me the shipping company's phone number, or her number. I sent $899 to Elton and realized something wasn't right. Anita had asked for the 8 digit reference number via text immediately. Then told me to complete the transaction by 9:30 this morning. I contacted MoneyGram and since the money hadn't been picked up they refunded my money. I asked Anita to call me because I had an emergency but would ensure the rest of the funds were transferred today. She gave some excuse for not calling and is only texting from 92601. I have all of the emails and my bank is sending me a more legible copy. I will be giving her fake ref numbers to claim the remainder of her shipping costs.....
