I received a postcard about receiving 2 free roundtrip air line two nights hotel. It's a call the telephone number, 888-211-0378, and when to listen to a pitch for a vacation club. After deciding not to join I received a mailing saying that I had to send in an activation fee of $50 for the hotel and $70 for the airline tickets. I then received with so many restrictions that I was not previously told about (like having to be part of a couple) that I cannot use the awards even if they do send them.

  • I went to the promotion. Although the information seemed worthwhile, they presenter was rude to an audience member after she was rattling papers during his presentation. I didn't purchase the timeshare but I did get the VOUCHER for free hotel, $50 dining card, and 2 round trip tickets. You have to then mail in $70 to activate the voucher within 15 days of getting the voucher. So I mailed in the $70. Today I got a letter in the mail telling me about the 10 restrictions there are for my Class C Promotion and if I wanted to trade it in for $45 more for a Class A Promotion. Restrictions on the Class C are ridiculous and Class A are great. I'm ready to get off this train taking a hit for only $70. Or maybe I'll roll another hand and send in the $45 for the upgrade. Don't know but they gave me 7 days to decide or I'll lose the original $70 as well. There's no telephone number on the letter I received by the way.

  • I attended the airline travel promotion on April 5, 2013 in a city in Maryland. I never attend these kinds of promotions, because they usally invlove high pressure sales tatics. Nevertheless, I attended and of course turned down the vacation package of 8000 which eventually when I was about to leave go down to 1200. I got my voucher and mailed it in with my 70.00. Of course the check was cashed within days. I recieved a letter stating due to the high demand of the promotion, I was being offered an upgrade for a mere $25.00. All I had to do is choose the upgrade, which by the way had less restrictions. The tricky part is you have to mail or fax back your upgrade within seven days. I faxed mine back on the 7th day and of course you know the ending of this story! I have not heard hide nor hair from Oracle and don't expect too. I am sure they are going to send me a rejection notice stating I failed to meet the deadline or some other foolishness. I wanted to test these types of promotions and Yes, they are scams in my book. Having lost 70.00 is not great, but at least I know to never respond to something that is too good to be true. Beware!
