I think I might have had a lucky escape but I would be interested to hear if anyone things there might be more to come.
I tried to take advantage of the free trial for USD1.99. I entered my card details to pay on the website and was told to use another card. I then spoke to a representative on the number given for NZ clients. I gave my card details to this person. She then told me another representative would call me. She did not tell me that my card had been declined. Another representative called me some 12 hours later and we went through the whole business again. I was told my card had been declined. I was asked to use another card or a card belonging to a member of my family. I declined and after a bit of yelling I hung up. My credit card provider says they have no record of any actions being declined and I am left wondering if I should now cancel my card or what. Grateful any suggestions. As an aside, the website and both representatives were very clear that I would be charged for further product if I did not cancel the 'order' within the following month and I haven't actually, it seems, lost any money.
