Could you check this online company called ParcelsPlease of Canada agent name: Marcus Pedder. does this company exist... I bought and Ipad and wanted to check if this company is good.. This is a shipping company out of Canada. they want me to western union money to them so they can release the package i order. I don't want to do it until i know if it is a legal company. I bought a Ipad off of craigs list and the lady that want to sell it to me lived in Toronto, Canada.. Stephanie Welker address is 225 Warrwn Road, Toronto, ON M4V 2V1, Canada. She told me she took the Ipad to a third party shipping company that will handle the transaction. Today i recieved the invoice to pay ParcelsPlease of Canada $270.00 with western union. Just want to see if this company is illegal.

Hello Naresh, I work for ParcelsPlease.com, part of CCL (Consolidated Carriers Ltd) based in Scotland in the UK. We are a logistics company who operate globally however we have no affiliations with companies in the USA or Canada. These individuals have been using our company name and logo to commit fraud. Unfortunately many Craigslist users have been affected by this. We are trying our best to have all of these fraudulent sites closed down and have contacted the relevant authorities in Canada.
We do sympathise that you've been involved in this scam and thank you very much for reporting it so that others can avoid making the same mistake.
