I was contacted by phone, and told that I had over 40,000 viruses on my PC. I asked them how they were able to contact me and I was told they were contacting me as a Micro Soft customer. They took control of my PC for about 3 hrs. Then told me the cost to cover the repair would be $177.76, which I paid with a credit card, and that I had a life-time contract with them. On 4/14/13, I was contacted again and told that my PC was being attacked by 14 hackers....and this would cost
399.00 (1 year), 599.00 5 Years or 899.00 for a life time of protection from hackers. This I refused. My Norton protection system was disabled.. I have tried to contact them but to know avail. I wanted them to restore my Norton, because I did not authorize the deletion of my Norton protection suite ( I cant find it on my PC as I did prior to their 1st call) The contact numbers I have are not being answered. I think since I refused the 2nd leg of the scam they just took my $177.76 and I am no longer covered by them.
