I tried selling my car and this guy said he wanted it. He said he was a Petroleum Engineer with limited cell reception and internet connection, so he wouldn`t talk to me. We went back and forth through a couple of emails saying he was going to use PayPal, but at the last second he said he wanted me to send $800 to an offshore account, then he would send the payment for the car + $800. The $800 was for an agent to come pickup the car as he wasn`t in the country. This guy was responding to each email as responses weren`t generic and needed specific answers. Also, this all started via text which made it a bit believable at the beginning. See below for an example of his email:

"I have just completed the payment now and i expect PayPal to have emailed you by now,check your PayPal email address for my Payment confirmation email in this folders inbox,junk/spam, i sent $11,300 in all, i have decided to add the amount of $800 which i paid through PayPal, So you can now wire the sum of $750 to my agent's Headquarters in China via western union where they confirm all commission payment so that they can be able to schedule a suitable pick up date and time immediately. As said earlier in my previous text,the western union transfer can be done at the post office as their is a western union section in all post office and can also be done via the internet(www.westernunion.com).I added extra $50 to cover the western union charges which shouldn't be more that $35-45 but just to be sure i added $50.
