On June 15, 2012, I filed Ammyy.com Complaint 125445 concerning a promised computer security/maintenance service.

After contacting complaint.ic3.gov, my local police department, all three credit bureaus, and cancelling two credit cards, I thought I had heard the last from the scammers.

WRONG!! Today (04/03/2013) I received a phone call from (530) 619-3038 - (COLUSA,CA)? from a man with a slight Indian accent, claiming that the company I had paid for the security monitoring service has gone out of business and he was calling from the Refund Department, trying to return money to people who had purchased the service. He wanted to know if I still had the credit card I had used. I told him I had cancelled it and asked why, if they have my address, they don't just mail me a check. He said people who had paid by check will receive a check, but people who purchased on line would have the funds returned to thei credit or debit card. I told him I wasn't giving up any card information and that they were not going to get any more money from me, and hung up.

He called back within 30 seconds and said we must have been cut off. He then asked, since I had cancelled the old card, would I be using VISA or Master Card for the money return?

I told him they can keep the money because, if they gave it back, I would just have to turn it over to my insurance company, so I still wouldn't have any money they returned to me. I told him they can keep the money, and don't call me again, and hung up. Within 30 seconds the phone rang again, but only rang once.

I just wanted to let you know that even a year later they still try to scam more money from the previously duped people.
