We were contacted and told that we would receive visa application assistance and this complicated process could take up to 6 months. When we phoned the next day to cancel we were told we could not because 90% of the work had already been done ??!!- how easy could that work be if 90% of the work (that was supposed to take 6 months) had already been done. They agreed to give us a $200 dollar refund as an "offer of goodwill!" - what could that possibly have been for and why were we not offered this discount when we were originally contacted?
Under Canadian Consumer Law you are entitled to a full refund if requested within 10 day cooling off period. This was ignored as they insisted that "90% of the work has been done as the file has been handed over to the lawyer" within less than 24 hours of our payment being processed!

We were then told we could get a further $200 refund for the CD which was to arive in the mail if we returned it immediately. We were promiseda frowarding adress and email contact to senmd the item back. It arived and we have no forwarding address or means to claim the refund. We have sent several written complaints to our "case manager", Hannah Mark at Canadian Visa Experts and have had absolutely NO REPLY - not even a confirmation that our comments have been received. Their unwillingness to communicate with us on any of these simple matters indicated that we are unlikely to get any of the service we have paid $1165 for. To deliver service you actually need to communicate!

We have also since established that there are several canadian websites that will tell you after answering a few simple questions whether or not you are eligible for immigration - and they cost nothing. Anyway, even if they do come back and tell us we can get a visa,we still need to get a job and there is no assurance of that.
Consumers beware of Canadian Visa Experts.

  • Hey, they are a scam company. You won't get back your money, they told me the same thing that you said above. Plus, they made you fill out an application form and did not tell you anything about the terms and conditions. They are very smart thieves. The most you can do is go to your credit card company or talk to a lawyer. Print out the terms and conditions and see what he can do for you. Don't leave it there...they will destroy others.

  • Please note that Canadian Visa expert have stated that they will give me a refund. Out of US991.00...I will be refunded US421.00 in 2 payments. I have accepted and it says alot that they are going to refund <something< back to me.

When I have received the refund, I will confirm and end this issue. I appreciate the refund and maybe, you can try contacting them and explaining your situation. Maybe they aren't all that bad.
