Called me and told me I was approved for a loan up to $20,000 and asked how much I wanted. I told them $3,000. Then they said they needed a $212 deposit because my credit is low. I found that understandable so I followed instructions and bought a Green Dot prepaid visa and gave them the information for the card. They then proceeded to tell me that there was a red flag on my credit and that because of that they would need an additional $395 deposit so my wife and I bought another Green Dot card and gave them the information. We were told to expect the money within an hour and were to be getting an additional $500 back. After waiting over 2 hours I called and asked where the money was, they told me we would have to pay an additional $400 in Western Union transfer fees. I told them no and asked for our deposit back and to speak with a supervisor. The man claiming to be Stephen Morris got upset and started screaming profanity before hanging up on me. Today I called and they said that we can expect the money within 48 hours, then they called again saying that the bank could not process the transfer. The bank reassured us that if it is a real company the transfer should process with no problem. We have not heard from the company since and since received a call from our banks fraud department in reference to a purchase made in the UK and we told them we did not make the purchase.
