I purchased a fiberglass hood to fit a 05 Chevy Avalanche on line when i was down range. The product description stated it would fit my truck. I spoke with a representative of the company twice before payment and we discussed the type of vehicle that the product was being bought for. Each time we spoke I was assured that I was purchasing the correct parts. Their only concern was my shipping location and getting their payment. The hood is not made to fit an Avalanche, according to two different bodyshops.

This is an e-mail between customer service and myself:
I don't see exactly why this is perfect. The cladding doesn't touch the hood therefore the photos on the website don't depict the discrepancy that you are pointing out. Its not stated in the product detail it only says that it is compatible with 2005 avalanche. I need a hood that fits properly, this was suppose to be it but obviously it is not. Do you carry the correct hood? I spoke with representatives with your company via telephone on several occasions before this product was sent to me mostly because of my shipping location and neither time during verification of what I was ordering was cladding brought up as a concern dealing with the products ordered. July 23 2012:
Perfect. The problem is your vehicle has cladding, unlike the picture on our site for the hood. The hood we have is for the non-cladded Avalanche. The hood also fits onto a Silverado, so that’s why we the picture is listed of the hood installed on the car, and not like our other hood pictures where it’s just the product on its own.
July 25: I think there was miscommunication on both sides then. Since I talked to the company and neither one of us wants to leave you with no compensation, I can offer you $100 partial refund on the product. While you may not be able to use it, you can sell this item to a non-cladded Avalanche, or a non-cladded Silverado. Please let me know if this will help you out in any way. This was the most we could do to help out.
