The instructions for canceling an account on Localcheaters.com are total (Inappropriate Content Removed). The phone number I verified and called to cancel my membership was no longer is service. The site claimed it would get the job done, when all it really does is keep you busy deleting cupids from all over one's account. The only contacts I ever received were from Online Cupids or women living in other states or countries; even though I highly suspect it’s about 99% fake. The whole site is a scam in my opinion. Under the tab "subscriptions" on my account, it says they’re going to charge me $29.95 on March 13th. I did my quarterly balance statements and found they already charged me twice. I signed up for a three month special for only $29.95, PERIOD. And it stated that if I didn't get anywhere, the next three months would be free. If they try and charge me a dime, when I'm making every effort to cancel my account; I'm going to file a civil or class action suit. I'm not one of those people who buy into everything I read. Just because you state conditions just to be kept from being sued, doesn't matter; because it’s all up to a judge to determine cause. They charged me more than the one-time payment of $29.95, thus they broke the agreement; not me! So, Localcheaters better refund my money ASAP. They lie, misdirect, and mislead members to keep them from finding their so-called phone number to cancel an account. The reason I can say this, is that the instructions for getting info is non-existent. It says, to go to your account and scroll to the bottom to get the correct data; but it’s like I said “non-existent”. One lie, is they state you have a specific phone number for each account, my foot. Now would a company as tightfisted as Localcheaters pay for thousands of phone numbers; I think not! They must think people are really stupid. If a person can join so easy online without going through a massive security protocol, then canceling an account should be just as easy online. They're just blowing smoke to keep you dancing around. They didn't care to much about how you became a member (very little data). I am going to report them to the FTC, BBB, DOJ, and anybody else I can think of. I'm a retired USAF computer systems administrator, database manager, statistical analyst, programmer, and so on; with 30 years’ experience in the field and I know a trash site when I stumble into it. Although I should have known better, I took a chance that they were legit; but the result is, I got a pole shoved up my (Inappropriate Content Removed)for it.
