I bought a plot of land from SchinkelBau and was forced to sign a house build contract with KB Concept Wohnbau, a sister company. Unfortunately, it transpired that the companies management (Marko Kummerow and Andreas Horn) followed a near fraudulent strategy of aggressively claiming payments from house owners and not paying the subcontractors. They had 8 months to build our relatively simple house. After we'd been through 4 architects, 5 project managers (some of who also apparently received no wages from the company) and 6 different subcontractors, we only had half the structure completed. According to a subsequent survey, there were many errors. Once we took the first opportunity to cancel the contract, they then tried to claim cancellation compensation. We completed the house built ourselves, directly employing subcontractors. Ultimately our damage amounted to in excess of €100,000. We also subsequently met at least 10 other people who'd all had extremely negative experiences. We've filed a complaint to the civil authorities, as did many others. Unfortunately no action has yet been taken to cease these people's actions and they are still operating. (Note. There offices containing many pictures of houses, it since transpired that these pictures are of Herr Kummerow's house and that of his lawyer's, apparently the only houses that they have successfully completed; furthermore, the book shelf of Herr Kummerow's office is not filled with architectural books or such but of legal books on building law)(and it just so happens that Herr Kummerow and Herr Horn are Juristen, so nice to know they are in the business to provide a good service for customers!!!!). I would strongly recommend avoiding this company and people!
