Complaint 20999 Details

Dont even remember applying to this company and certainly would not have authorised a membership fee. They say I confirmed membership on 3rd May 2011 - so why take the fee now! I can't afford this. Phoned them and got some arrogant guy who couldn't even remember the name of the company he worked for when he answered the phone.

Weird thing is i can't even find a web page for them so how could i have applied for this! I did put bank details into a couple of payday loan sites just for credit checking reasons but would never in a million years have authorised any payments. I think one of these companies must have passed on my details. The bank obviously wont give indemnity insurance, 1. because they are a bank and want to be as little help as possible and 2. they say i have given out my details so its my fault. I tried to explain that i gave card details for a credit check not for money to be taken out but of course it fell on deaf ears. I have now emailed the company on the help email address and i intend to sent the same email every hour until i get a response. I'm also waiting on a response back from Trading Standards.
