I was sent a letter and Check for $1290.45. The letter told me to call an 800# to recieve my instructions. I was asked to go to walmart and use the money gram and evaluate it, to send netspend $930.00 and the rest of the money was mine. I put the check in my acct and waited several days. when I didn't hear anything from my credit union I assumed since the money was in my acct the check was good. condsiedering all the electronic technology available now a days. well after I sent the money gram and Used most of the money My credit union called me and said the check had been returned. If I hadn't been hurting for money at the time I probably would have been more careful. So the moral is if it seems to good to be true it probably isn't true. I have learned my leason hopefully I can help someone else from making the same mistake I did.
