On April 11, 2011 on behalf of my company I purchased from A-1 toners (via Amazon.com marketplace) qty 2 Xerox printer cartridges item # 106R482 using our company American Express card. When I received the products, they were not Xerox cartridges but were in fact reconditioned off-brand items. I contacted A-1 toners to report the discrepancy, and was informed that the company did not have what I ordered, but that I could send back the items I received for full credit. I was provided with an RMA # along with a pre-paid USPS return label, and I was assured that the charges would be credited back to our company credit card. I immediately returned the items and according to the USPS A-1 toners received those items on April 18, 2011. Our company credit card statement reflected the original charges, but we have never received credit for the items I returned. I repeatedly called the company and spoke to a person who identified himself sometimes as Barry, and other times as David; I am absolutely certain it was the same person. I noted calls placed to A-1 toners on May 9, June 28, July 20, August 17, August 22, and September 7. Every time I called I was given the same run-around, literally "the check is in the mail". On July 20th, when I spoke to Barry, he claimed that because the order was processed through the Amazon marketplace, he was having trouble issuing a credit to our credit card. He then promised to send our company a check for the amount of the credit. On August 22nd, when I had not yet received the check, I spoke to David, who provided me with check # 1053 in the amount of $242.58. As of September 7th we still have not received this check. When I spoke to Barry on September 7th, Barry told me to wait a couple more days for the check. I am resaonably certain there will be no check.
