Complaint 19923 Details

I am a diabetic with foot problems requiring special insoles and diabetic shoes. I purchased the shoes in February this year from
Arne Mattson. In August my foot condition worsened, requiring that I execute a prescription from my foot & ankle specialist for a new form fitted insole. On August 23rd, Terry Troxel at Arne Mattson took my required imprint whereupon I issued a check to him in the amount of $175.00. Since that day, I have tried numerous times to contact the store, but have been unable to receive anything more than a recorded message stating their store hours of business. Finally after these attempts, I drove to Omaha
from Shenandoah, IA to meet with my foot specialist and to stop by Arne Mattson's store to see if I could pick up my prescribed insert. The store was locked, and looking into the windows, I could see nothing on the walls, nothing at the counter, in fact the establishment was bare. No phone message ever indicated a change of address or closing for a specific reason. Also there were no signs posted on the front door or windows stating that they might be moving. I would appreciate it if you could look into the situation and see if the business has ceased to operate and what is the disposition of my $175.00 check for a prescribed insole. This complaint is not pertaining to false advertising, rather than the ability to either get my prescribed insole or get my money returned.
