Applied for a $5,000.00 loan. Was called and informed that I was approve for the loan. A Mr. Gerald White, called me.He sent me paper work via e-mail to look over and sign and fax back. I did. Then I was informed that I needed to send $800.00 to the lender because my credit was bad and this $800.00 would be applied for my first 6 mos. pymts on the loan.( SENT TO A ROBERT WARD IN AJAX , ONTARIO CANADA) My 1st pymt on the loan wouldn't be til Feb. 2012. I was told to send it via Western Union and call him back with the MTCN number. As soon as the money was wired via Western Union, and vertified, my $5,000 plus the fee of $66.00 that Western Union charged me would be deposited into my checking account within 2 hours. So I waited and waited and waited , but no deposit ......... The next day I recieved a call from A Mr. Thomas Walker, informing me that the lender wanted another $800.00 because my credit was realllllly bad and that would put me til Aug. 2012 for my first payment to be due. I informed Mr. Walker that I didn't have that extra $800.00. That it was hard enough for me to get the first $800.00 to him. He keep pushing the issue and pushing. I told him we didn't get paid til Sept. 1st, 2011. He said he would wait til then for the additional $800.00. Well, when Sept.01st came around, I called VanWyk Financial and tried to get a hold of either Mr. Gerald White or Mr. Thomas Walker.... And As of today, 9/9/2011... I have not heard from either one of them... I keep getting the recording message. Their number is 1-800-496-8910 ext 212... 0r ext 0 for customer service which no one ever answers now..Their web site seems very official- www.VanWykFinancial.com
I just want to warn people of this website.... BE CAREFUL.....
