Complaint 19430 Details

I received a fax at my office. The fax states "Your Paradise Awaits" The fax advertised multiple vacations at great locations for around $150/person including air fair. I called about a 4 day 3 night trip to Orlando FL where kids fly free (phone # 1-855-576-0399). They booked it, asked for a checking account #. Said they wouldn't take credit cards. I was then transferred to another person who recorded the conversation and made sure I understood about the additional fees ($35 per person for airline booking fees and hotel taxes and that I would be receiving a packet with travel vouchers that would give me instructions on how to get the airline tickets booked and the hotel reservations booked. They also gave me legal info regarding cancellation. they said I had 72 hours to cancel. I tried getting the name of the company, but they wouldn't give it to me. Said that they were a marketing company for many travel agencies. After realizing that this was too good to be true, I tried calling the next day multiple times to cancel, but no one answered.

I googled the phone number since I didn't have a name for the company and found many posts indicating that this was a scam and that no one ever got their trip.
