I have fall victim to a scam. Saw an ad on Craigslist for a house for rent. I inquired about it and the supposed owner replied. Stating he was transferred out of state and wanted to rent out his home. After several days of conversations vis email, he sent me a rental application, which I completed and sent back. He requested I MoneyGram the deposit and 1st month rent to a Cheryl Johnson (his sister, who was handling his business transactions.) I requested a lease agreement first. I received a signed lease agreement via email. I spoke with him on the phone after sending the money. The phone number is 713-469-5830. Since that conversation I have not heard anything else and I have not received anything. After trying the number this morning again and leaving a message I received a text from 205-341-7776 asking "who this was". That is how I found this website! I asked the same question and have not gotten a response. I have filed a police report and file a complaint with MoneyGram!
