I used AT&T Online to negate an automatic payment of my bill so that I could make a partial payment of $150.00. AT&T ignored my online action, took the $150.00 online payment, and then took the remainder of the monies owed from my bank account - even though I had rescinded that authorization! (I had combined my wireless billing and internet access accounts and total amount was unexpectedly high - I'm on a fixed income). AT&T bankrupted my bank account - thus ensuring that I incurred an overdraft fee as well!! Not to put too fine a point on it, but if you offer the customer the option of stopping an automatic payment days in advance of the due date - then why not honor your commitment to the customer? The combined billing practices of AT&T are incredibly customer non-friendly. I never had this kind of billing problem with AT&T Wireless - just with AT&T Combined Billing out of Atlanta, GA.!! I am now seriously considering "losing" AT&T as my carrier - for everything!
