Tom Johnson of Scottsdale, AZ, is an employee of AL&S Security Monitoring in Phoenix, AZ. While checking my existing alarm equipment in my home to set up monitoring, he said he does side work and could fix the three doors in my home that needed alignment. We had agreed on a price of $100 for all three doors. When he came to my home, he supposedly fixed the doors and told me the price was now $150.00, not $100.00. Since I am a senior citizen, I was very intimidated by him and I reluctantly agreed to pay the higher price. A few months later when the weather was cooler, one of the strike plates on my door was still out of alignment and the deadbolt wouldn't work so I called him at (262) 374-9872 to have him repair it. He suggested calling me on Sunday, November 11, and that he would come out that day. He never called so I called him. I called him several times and he never called me back. Being a senior citizen, I don't have extra money to have the repair done by someone else. I left a message for him to at least give me a $50 refund so that I could have a locksmith do the repair. He never returned my call. Do not use this individual as a contractor or hire him as an employee. He is a scam artist, ripping off defenseless senior citizens. Whatever you do, do not allow him into your home. He is a thief.
