BUYER BEWARE!!! My Kodak purchase was a 2170 all-in-one printer but I believe anyone who purchases any Kodak product should be aware that Kodak may act in bad faith if your product warranty is about to expire.
In my case, the printer was working fine for months until I accepted an automatic software update from the company. The printer immediately stopped working and would randomly power itself off and on continuously until I had to unplug it. I contacted Kodak customer support and when I finally got through via “live chat” the rep remote controlled my computer for 2 hours and was unable to resolve the issue. The rep wanted to end the call so he gave me a set of bogus instructions that, of course, didn’t work. The rep knew it wouldn’t work given that I’d tried those options before calling technical support. Rep claimed there might be some “interference” on his end because of the remote control and to call back if it didn’t work. The next day, I called back and got another rep. Another remote control. Another hour on the phone. Still no resolution so the rep escalates my issue and sets up a phone appointment with a 4 hour window. They do not call till over 2 hours after the appointment time as I’m on my way to work. They set another appointment with another 4 hour window. They don’t keep this appointment either. Days later I receive another “random” call from Kodak. I have a job and cannot block out any more time for “appointments” they really have no intention of keeping, just stalling until the warranty runs out, which, by the way, is still 2 weeks out as of this writing. The full complaint is filed with the BBB of New York, complaint #9287325 If anyone else has had this issue with any Kodak product, I urge you to file a complaint as well.
