I fell victim to a scam to rent a house on craigslist. The person led me to believe he owned the house and used an email as the source of contact. She stated they had to move to Alabama due to her job and wanted to rent the house out quickly. I wired the money to her to a person named Cheryl Johnson in Ferndale, MI 48220. I was told that Cheryl was his sister and handled his business transactions. Upon receiving the money, Cheryl was to send the rental agreement and keys to the house. Of course that did not happen. I also spoke with Richard Carter several times at (256) 712 7006. The other number they gave me was 1 (205) 341-7776. The Address of the property is :

- Kim....I was also just scammed in the same way, different intial name, but same person picked up the money. I wish I would have found this website before I sent money via MoneyGram. I have filed a fraud compliant with MoneyGram and I have also filed a police report with my local police department. I hope you have done the same!
