I have been having problems with the way business is done at this particular Associated Food Store from time to time there is fasle advertising. Here is an example:- XL eggs for 95c per dozen but when one puts 4 dozens on the check out counter, 3 cartons are rung up at the advertized price but the 4th carton is priced at $1.50 but if unsuspecting customer didn't notice he/she would have paid $1.50 for a carton of eggs you expected to pay 95c. You bring the extra pricing to the cashier's attention and the manager is called and the manager will tell you that they have the right to limit quanties, written in small print that one cannot easily read. On the same flyer one can see other advertised goods with the notation-Limit 1 or Limit 2. In some case one has to purchase $100.00 additional items to be able to get that item at the advertised price.

Today there was canned ackees advertised for $5.99 per 19 oz can only to find out that the weight on the can was 18.3 oz. When I brought it to the attention of the manager or assistant manager the attitude was: "take it or leave it" There was also an advertised item that was unavailable (Jamaican beef patties) 2 pkgs for $3.00 and when I asked for a rain check, a limit was placed on the rain check that was given me although there was no limit mentioned on the ad.

I would like to suggest that there should be a limit on the amount of money consumers are required to spend on order to get an item at the reduced price that food stores advertised their goods because there are many folks like myself who has never spent $100.00 or even as much as $50.00 on one food purchase.
