hi i would like to make a complaint against charles hurst vauxhall portadown as i am going to be ripped of by them ,the story goes like this my sister bought a vauxhall astra of autotrader (private sale) any way the car was really smokey in the morning on start up and for about 5mins after driving but wasnt as smokey when it warmed up ,i got charles hurst vauxhall to check my cars injectors and to clean them , that day they rang me and told me that the reason my car was so smokey is because somebody that taken the d.p.f of the exhaust in my car (diesel particle filter) they said my cars d.p.f was missing and it was £1000 plus vat for a new one plus i had to pay them to fit it , i told them i couldnt afford that kind of repair bill and they said leave it with them and they would ring me back , 20mins later they rang me back and said that they have a reconditioned one and would sell it to me fitted and all for £800 pound , as i still couldnt afford the bill i asked them would they be interested in buying my car off me we paid £7500 in may this year , they said my cars only worth £3000 now because the d.p.f is missing etc ,now this is the bit thats boiling my blood , i took my car to a local mechanic and he took my exhaust of in front of me and showed me the d.p.f was in my car and was not missing , he said it just needs a good clean , the part vauxhall were going to sell me was gona be my own d.p.f as they were gona just clean my d.p.f and bill me £800 and let on they replaced mine , i think this is disgusting , i rang vauxhall yesterday and asked them to order me the part as im letting on to them im getting them to replace it , she said i had to pay for the part first as it had to be ordered in , which is lies as they dont have the part they are gona clean mine and rip me of , i would be grateful to yous if you could help me catch them out as god only knows how many other customers they rip off by saying they need parts and they actually dont need , they offered me £3000 for my car knowing rightly they cpuld sell it on forcourt for at least £5500 , thats just nasty , they were in the papers couple of years back for similar scams .hope you can help me thanks.
