Someone called saying my computer was sending error messages to Microsoft!! He had me press Windows key plus the letter "r". This took me to a run screen where he had me type in "inf", which gave me a list of files, which he said were the error messages. He then had me enter ammyy.com which directed me to a Time Warner search page where I saw the AMMYY Scam listed, so I promptly hung up. This morning I received an email from Bank of America stating that there was suspicious activity on my credit card. It was a charge for $29.95 to the AMMYY website!! I went through the procedure of cancelling the transaction. The bank cancelled my credit card, but I don't know if any of my other information was compromised!!
