This person advertised an apartment in Hamilton, Ontario. He sent photos and a contract. He said he was in the UK working at a Evergreen Shipping Company.
My friend was in desperate ned of an apartment in Canada and agreed, even though he was wary. Payment for £700 was made for the first month rent and deposit, and he insisted on using MoneyGram or Western Union.
When the funds were transferred, he wad not heard from again. He has been reported to the UK police ad fraud squad. MoneyGram have also tracked his placement where he collected his money.
