mobile phone account,,,, prior to leaving on a trip to Vietnam7/07/2012... I set up a new phone plan including $500 free calls and data to cover me for calls and sms for my trip One week after arriving in Vietnam ...On the 12/07/2012 I received an sms message from iinet stating that i had exceeded my $200 limit by $30.09c .and in their wisdom disabled my phone.Luckily i had me laptop and advised them that there had been some sort of mistake and as i was traveling on my own my phone was vital.I received back an email from iinet 3 days later ans stated that i had been incorrectly advised and calls and data while roaming are charged additionally to anything covered by the cap,,because i had been advised incorrectly they apologised for the inconvenience and would credit back any roaming charges on my invoice up to the 15th of July and my phone was reconnected.. Then,, 2 days later i received an email on the 17th of July from iinet that my account had reached $803.81 in those 2 days i made one call which cost $10..once again my phone was disabled.. On 25/7/2012.Another email,(8days) later my bill was $808.13 with my phone disabled and in my bag..27/07/2012 again an email my bill was now $833.09.???I arrived back in Australia on 1/08/2012 with a totally useless mobile phone,I contacted iinet on a hotel phone and was reconected and recieved a letter of apology the next day..The only way i had contact with my family while i was away was by hotel phones and emails of which i estimate cost me alone about $400,,.as i am 65 years of age my phone was important to me ,at least i thought so..I have all the paper work collated and filed and have refused to pay..I am prepared to go to court over this matter
