During the summer of 2011, I was living in Richmond and needed Internet. I called up Comcast and they got me to sign up for a bundle with Tv included for only a few extra bucks a month. I didn't really care to have the TV service. I made it clear during the signup phone call which they said was recorded that I ONLY wanted the service for the 1 month I was going to still be in Richmond. When the guy came to hook it up, he hooked up the internet improperly and I was never able to get it working. I spent a total of nearly 5 hours on the phone, mostly on hold, trying to get it resolved but was never able to. So when I left Richmond I kept the equipment until Comcast would remove the bill for the internet service I never received. They wouldn't drop the bill, continued to charge me for 2 or 3 more months (that I had made clear I didnt want) and threatened me with law suits until I finally returned the equipment and thus lost my leverage. I never did pay the bill and they have since reported this to the credit agencies thus destroying my credit.
