I have been shopping at the Family Dollar Store on George Urban, Depew, NY for a few years. I have seen employees come and go and for the most they were all very good and helpful. Two weeks ago I came in and was looking for something, I asked the girl behind the register where I could find it, and she said she didn't know, but I could ask the Manager. Ok. But she wasn't there, I then asked for someone else and was told that she was the only one there, but if I wanted to I could wait for the Manager to come back, she told me that she went to the store. I then started looking around the store and was shocked at the condition. The floors were dirty and things were just thrown around and clothes were on the floor. Ok. The manager came back and said to me that she would help me, she had to put the beer she just bought away. I was shocked, why tell me that, I am a customer and I feel that she did not need to tell me that. So I found what I was looking for and was waiting to be checked out, the line was long and I have a problem standing too long, I am 66 years old. When I was finished, I wanted to talk to the manager who was at the other register. I turned around and she was gone, but on the counter was money in stacks of ones, fives, tens and twentys and she was no where to be found. I found this to be odd, I could have taken the money and left the store and no one would have known it was me. The cashier was very busy taking care of people and was not looking at me. The following week, I came in and found the manager yelling very loudly at a customer for some reason. The customer was quite upset and said that she would never come back again. I myself will never return to that store. I feel that the people were not very perfessional. I am going to tell my friends not to go to that store either. I am sorry to have to report this, but I was a good customer and you have lost me and everybody I know that shops at that store. Maybe you should screen your employees better, because I feel that the manager was rude and crude and should not be in a postion where she is not equipped to handle the problems in a business like manner.

  • I do not have my receipt and cannot honestly tell you how much I spent. I would like to see the Manager fired because I feel that she should not be a Manager of anything. She is not professional or pleasent. I have been to other Family Dollars stores and have found them to be much better than this one. I feel sorry for the manager, but she should have been screened better before being put in the position of authority. I am sorry, but I can only hope that you will handle this problem and just not let it go. Because at this rate, you will have not customers at all. Thank you for your help.
