On August 1, 2012, I saw a commercial about Calmestra on TV and I decided to call in and order a “sample” product. When I called them (customer service), they persuaded me that it would be best to purchase for 3 months; even though I only wanted to have the sample. However, they told me that one of the packets of pills is free as a sample. So technically, I paid for 2 boxes totaling $99.95+Shipping ($119.85). That was withdrawn from my credit card on 08/01/2012. I opened one of the packets and tried it for a few days. However, I went to my doctor asked about Calmestra before continuing with the medicine. I wanted to know if this was a good medicine for me to take. My doctor told me not to take it anymore because it’s a new drug and there is no guarantee its safe. Which she (my doctor) was right. The medicine came with no instructions, warnings, or any other facts. It was also not approved by F.D.A. (a piece of information that was kept from me when I ordered it). I would have never ordered it if I knew it was not approved. I called Calmestra on 08/07/2012 to cancel my order and return the unused packers (2) for refund. The customer service representative agreed and gave me a number for the shipping label. I made it very clear to the customer representative on 8/7/2012 that I am only sending two boxes and one is a sample that I’m keeping. They agreed and said they will refund me the total amount ($99.95). I went to the post office and paid for shipping, and send the two unused boxes. I checked my account after 3 weeks and I was still not refunded the amount ($99.95). I called Calmestra on 08/25/2012 and the representative told me that they just received the package a week ago and they will refund me in 4-6 weeks.
I called them today (09/18/2012) again and they tell me my refund is $66.63 (claiming I ordered 3 boxes instead of two). The representative told me I never had a free sample to begin with. I tried explaining to them that I had a sample, and I had no idea I had to send all boxes (3). Furthermore, the representative said I should have received my refund on 8/20/2012. This company lied and stole from me. I am very disappointed at them for a having a terrible customer service and a product that is a SCAM. I’m not so worried about the money, I’m angry at the fact that they are a bad company lying to innocent customers. They have no business ethics! What is on their website is a scam.

  • I recently purchased Calmestra for my wife who loved it. She turned on a number of her girlfriends and now everyone is using it. I did a little research when I saw this complaint and found out that the person who made the complaint didn't realize that Calmestra is a natural product, not a pharma drug. Natural remedies do not require FDA approval so it's not that the product is "not approved", it's that no natural supplements are reviewed by the FDA. Further, the instructions are simple: Just take 2 a day - it says it right on the label and on the welcome letter that comes in the box. Also the reason there are no warnings is that, unlike drugs, there are no side effects and it's completely safe. Whoever this woman's doctor was, she didn't know what she was talking about. Seems like a very ignorant customer. On top of that, it seems like Calmestra customer service gave her a refund anyway so I don't see what she's complaining about. At any rate, it's a good, safe product and my wife and her friends don't want it to disappear so please don't take this complaint seriously.

  • Actually John they said they refunded the money but I did not receive any refund. I spoke with four different customer representative and they all gave me a different date that I was refunded (who should I believe?). They keep telling me it’s my bank’s fault. The customer rep said I should have been refunded through Casper Lab and not Calmestra. When I told them my statement shows that it was Calmestra who took the initial $119.85, they said it’s wrong and it should have been Casper Lab. What does that even mean? Do I have to contact Casper Lab instead? Furthermore, just because it's natural it does not mean it's safe. It's funny how on their website they said the product is safe and approved and at the bottom of the page it says that "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease." (https://calmestra.com/FAQs.php). Their statements are completely defective and I can’t trust a company who is not honest with me. As a customer, I have the right to be informed about the medicine that I’m taking (whether it’s natural or not). I need to know all the facts and I was not informed at all. You claim “there are no side effects and it's completely safe”, are you a doctor? By the way, how long has your wife and her friends been taking this medicine? You do know it takes up to one year for side effects to show.
