I initiated a search on Intelius and agreed to a $.95 charge to my Visa credit card. When my statement came out in July, Intelius had charged me $19.95. I called Intelius on 7/25/11 and they claimed I had signed up for a monthly service which I certainly did not(. I asked that the contract be cancelled immediately. Next I got a charge for $19.95 on my July statement which came in August. Again I called and (Tomeshika at Intellius) claimed I did not cancel until 7/25/11 and I was liable for the July charge. Again, I asked that whatever contract I had with Intellius be cancelled She said it would be. It seems Intelliius, once they get your credit card number, can charge anything they want to. I think this is a scam.
