I had just woken up one morning and was still groggy when the phone rang. I answered and it was a women from sunset publications telling me that they were lowering my monthly payments for the magazines i was already recieving. Having alreay been subscribed to 5 diferent magazines i didnt really think anything of it. She said that they were going to lower my monthly payment to $39.95 thats when i started questioning her because my monthly payments were only $14.95 already. She told me that that 3 payments of $39.95 would bring my bill current and close out my account so i said ok thinking that maybe i had missed something. She transferred me to another women who confirmed all of my information but while she was doing this she said 'now that your information has been confirmed you will see monthy payments coming out pf your account for $59.95.' I said whoa thats not what the other girl just told me she said if you are unsatisfied with your new service you can call this number and cancel as soon as you hang up. I wrote the number down and she hung up on me. I called the number and it was a medical supply company that answered. I tried calling the magazine company but the number had been disconnected. Freaking out at this point i went to my bank and immediately had my card cancelled. They tried to take $120.00 out and it was pending but never went through. I have been getting threatening calls for months now. I am a worrier and just when i think that the calls will stop they start right back up again. My doctor says my blood pressure could be at risk.
